The population of Cumberland, Maryland is 20,449.

The economy of Cumberland is supported by a glass factory and tractor supply company. It makes its money through big industries like these.

Dear Mr. Finnerty,
There are factories such as glass factories, a tractor supply company, and a blind company. They are dumping waste into the water and polluting it, affecting the pH levels. In different areas the pH levels are different, so there are more acidic and basic water in different parts in Cumberland which affects the wild life that live there.
If you dump acid into a place where it already has base, the pH will level out, and the water will be safe for the wild life. If you do this with acidic water, but add base it will also level the pH out. If you don't dump it somewhere else or do as we suggested, it will affect all the wild life in your town. With no clean water, there will be no water supply for your town.
